This salmon is crammed with flavor! And it’s the perfect balance of flavors too. The sweet butter balances out the tangy lemon, and the lively herbs and spices in the Cajun seasoning add tremendous flavor to the mild-tasting salmon. I can’t wait for you to experience how flavors soar off the plate!

What type of Cajun seasoning should you use? Whatever you find at the grocery store – all brands are fantastic! Most Cajun seasonings contain a blend of salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, and crushed red pepper flakes. Since those are pantry staples, you could easily whip up a batch of the seasoning on your own, but getting a pre-made blend makes life a lot easier. You can also use store-bought Creole seasoning.

What type of salmon should you use? I’m a big fan of wild Alaskan salmon, so that’s what I recommend. You can purchase the whole fillets (as I have pictured here) and share the fillets, or you can purchase 4 individual fillets. If you want to save a buck or two, purchase frozen salmon and thaw it overnight in the refrigerator.
