Lemon Butter Salmon

Sublimely tender salmon, infused with butter, garlic, dill, and fresh lemon. The fish is perfectly cooked (in less than 15 minutes) and each succulent bite is brimming with flavor.

Talk about the ultimate weeknight meal. Or any busy night! This dish is made with just 5 ingredients and it’s on the table in less than 20 minutes. Although it’s quick and easy, it’s definitely worthy of entertaining.

What makes the butter sauce so special? The combination of sweet butter, vibrant dill, zesty garlic, and lemon 2 ways – juice and zest. The lemon juice perfectly compliments the sweet butter, and the zest adds incredible depth of flavor.

What type of salmon should you use? I was serving two people, so I halved the recipe and used a 1-pound salmon fillet. Plan on about 6 to 8 ounces of salmon per person and use whole or individual fillets. The cooking time will remain the same regardless of what you choose (because I gave you a range).

Can you use fresh dill instead of dried? Certainly! Dill is one of those herbs that does fine in the oven, especially with a short cooking time like this one. If you’re using fresh dill, use about 1 tablespoon and sprinkle a little more over top before serving.
