For the Honey Garlic Sauce
1/4cuptamari sauceor soy sauce
1/4cuphoneyor maple syrup
2tablespoonstomato paste
1/2teaspoonsesame oil
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
Chopped fresh parsley for servingoptional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Place a wire rack on the baking sheet.
Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, add the melted butter and toss to coat. Add the paprika, onion powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and toss to coat. Transfer the wings to the prepared pan and spread them out so they don’t touch each other. Use two pans with racks if necessary.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the tamari sauce, honey, tomato paste, sesame oil, and garlic powder.
After the wings have cooked for 30 minutes, brush them with the honey garlic sauce. Return the wings to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes, until cooked through (165 degrees on an instant-read meat thermometer) and crispy.
