Instructions
Season both sides of the chicken with salt and black pepper. Season both sides with the parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
Melt the butter in the same pan over medium heat, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the lemon juice and chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Return the chicken to the pan with any accumulated juices from the plate. Simmer for 5 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
Top with parsley, if using, and serve with lemon slices (if desired).
