Long strands of twisty noodles, swirled in a garlicky, buttery, sweet/savory sauce that's dotted with egg and sprinkled with crunchy seasoning. Easy, hearty, and ready in less than 10 minutes!
1teaspoonminced fresh garlicor 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic, or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or more/less to taste)
1/4teaspooncrushed red pepper flakesor more/less to taste
1tablespoonsoy sauceregular or low-sodium
1teaspoonlight or dark brown sugaror granulated sugar or honey
1egglightly beaten
Everything bagel seasoning for serving
Chopped green onions for servingoptional
Instructions
Cook the ramen according to the package directions, stopping shortly before the suggested cooking time (stop about 45 seconds early; the noodles will continue to cook in the sauce). Drain and set aside.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute, until the garlic is lightly toasted and soft. Add the soy sauce and brown sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves. Add the noodles and stir to coat them with the sauce.
Push the noodles to one side of the pan. Increase the heat to medium-high.
Add the egg to the empty side of the pan and cook until scrambled but still moist.
Fold the egg into the noodles. Top the noodles with the everything bagel seasoning and green onions (if using) and serve.
