These street tacos are crammed with flavor! The beef and bean mixture is spiked with garlic, spices, and smoky chipotle chilies in adobo. The adobo sauce not only adds heat, it adds great warmth and great depth of flavor.

You can make these street tacos as spicy as you want. Most of the heat comes from the chipotle chilies, so you can use a little or a lot. I used half the can because we love things with lots of heat. If you’re unsure, take a little sample of the chilies and then decide how much to add to the filling.

I used street taco-size tortillas, but you can use any size. I love the hand-held fun of street tacos, so I chose the smaller tortillas. That said, you can certainly use fajita-size or burrito-size tortillas. You can also use corn tortillas instead of flour.

I used beef, but poultry works too! Feel free to swap in ground turkey or ground chicken for the beef!

What kind of beans should you use? Any canned seasoned beans work here. I used spicy seasoned chili beans; I love their plump, fiery addition to the filling. You can use mild chili beans or seasoned black beans as well.
