Instructions
Heat the oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the beef and cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Add the mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes, until soft.
Add the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
Top with parsley (if using) and serve over rice, noodles, mashed potatoes, or your favorite grain.
