This moist chicken is laced with herbs, pan-seared until golden, and then simmered in a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce. Quick-and-easy, mildly spicy, and healthy too!
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the chicken with the parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper.
Add the chicken to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Add the BBQ sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through (165 degrees). Note that thicker chicken breasts and chicken thighs will take slightly longer to cook.
