While this dish works with any BBQ sauce! Use your favorite brand and flavors will shine!

What should you serve with your BBQ chicken? I like to serve this saucy dish with something starchy on the side, to soak up the extra sauce. Rice, buttered noodles, mashed potatoes, and warm bread all make great choices. You can also add pasta salad, potato salad, or cob corn to round out the meal.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts, or chicken thighs
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- Chopped fresh parsley for serving, optional
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the chicken with the parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper.

- Add the BBQ sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through (165 degrees). Note that thicker chicken breasts and chicken thighs will take slightly longer to cook.
- Top with parsley (if using) and serve.
