Hot Honey Broccolini

Tender stalks of baby broccoli, dusted with seasoning and then drizzled with hot honey. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness and heat, and the honey perfectly balances the flavor of this delicious cruciferous veggie!

broccoli with hot honey

This is such a fun side dish! Especially if you like a little heat. I wanted to jazz up my broccolini and knew that the sweetness of honey, and heat from hot peppers would be perfect. And it’s a one-stop-shop if you use hot honey; I used Melindas; it’s sweet, hot, and wonderful.

How spicy is this dish? As spicy as you want to make it. The base seasoning is ranch dressing (yes the powdered stuff that’s loaded with flavor). The rest is the honey, and you can choose to pile it on, or just do a drizzle. You can also serve more hot honey on the side for folks who want more heat.

I used broccolini, but other vegetables work too! If you want, you can swap in regular broccoli florets, or broccoli rabe/rape, or cauliflower florets. They all work well in this recipe, and you can blanch them as directed below (no changes).
