Easy Blender Salsa

This is the only salsa recipe you will ever need! It’s savory, spicy, and brimming with fresh flavor! And thanks to the blender, it comes together in seconds!

You’ll never buy store-bought salsa again! When you use fresh ingredients (cilantro, green onions, jalapeño, lime), your salsa is wholly elevated. And since you’re making this salsa from scratch, you can decide how much of each ingredient to add. You’re completely in control of the outcome!

The heat level in this salsa is totally customizable. I used one whole jalapeño pepper, but you could certainly use half, or even less than half of a chile pepper. I like the flavor of jalapeños because they’re bright and grassy, which partners well with the sweet tomatoes and fresh lime. For more heat, choose a more fiery chile pepper, such as habanero.

I used canned tomatoes! Yes, I used canned whole tomatoes and you should too! Canned tomatoes are sweet and wonderful, and the extra juice in the can makes for a robust salsa. You can certainly add fresh tomatoes too, but definitely start with the canned!
Don’t fuss too much with the cilantro! Cilantro stems are soft and delicious, boasting the same flavor as the leaves. Don’t worry about picking those leaves from the stems; if some stems get into the blender, you’ll just have more cilantro flavor to enjoy!
