Sweet potatoes and maple syrup are the perfect match

They’re both sweet, so they compliment each other in the most wonderful way. That’s also why I added onion powder – because it’s sharp and a little sweet at the same time. Everything works so well together in this incredible side dish.

You can make these roasted spuds with sweet potatoes or yams. I chose orange-fleshed yams, but you can certainly choose the golden-fleshed sweet potatoes.

Feel free to add more herbs and spices. This ingredient list is super short, so add a few more spices if you want. Garlic powder and paprika would be great additions. For something more on the sweet side, a little cinnamon would be fantastic.
